Edible Open Gardens 2013

So far so good......

We've had a steady stream of visitors to the gardens. 

Gardeners have commented on how different it has been from last year (some gardens flooded!) with really hot weather and great refreshments

Wharf Farm, Cambridge, GL2 7AL 11.00 – 2.00 (morning only) Workshop
Smallholding of 9 acres / goats’ milk and kid meat / pork / duck eggs / hen eggs / goats / poultry.
Permanent pasture / deep water pond.
Drop in workshop – keeping farm animals

Days Cottage, Upton Lane, Brookthorpe, GL4 0UT 2.00 – 5.00 (afternoon only)
Family run business / cider and perry / old and unusual varieties of apple and pear / big veg garden / 2 
polytunnels of mixed veg / fruit and vines / forest garden.


Saturday July 27th
Larkshill, Field Road, Whiteshill GL6 6AH 11.00 – 5.00 Refreshments
Magnificent views no-dig beds / wildlife pond / wormery / chickens / polytunnel / indoor veg bed / 
herbs / herbacious borders / lawns with children’s play equipment / mixed native hedge.

Vines at Thrupp Allotments 11.00 – 5.00
Allotment / vines / presentation on English Sparkling Wine

Primrose Villa, Lower Street, Ruscombe, Stroud GL6 6BU 2.00 – 5.00 (afternoon only)
Established 29 years / started organically now bio-dynamic / on hillside / no dig / deep bed system / 
cottage garden / small pond / wild life area.
